Les Baer Premier II, 6", 10mm Hunter
« on: December 13, 2018, 12:11:46 PM »
It's been too quiet around here.

Here is one I got a short while back.  It is a Les Baer Custom 10mm with the 6" barrel.  It is tight as a drum.

Also a shot of a Clymer Reamer I bought.  I have a 6" Kart barrel coming that I am going to have fitted to the gun and reamed to 9X25 Dillon.  It should be a screamer.

A screamer it will be indeed; comparable to a .357 Sig compared to a .40 SW but much hotter.

I have a Glock 20 with a 5" Bar-Sto barrel that I have had a long time.

I can get 1650 fps out of 125 grain Gold Dots with it.  The extra inch should help a lot.

Nice looking gun!

If anyone is not real familiar with Baer Custom, here's a video tour given by Les to Guns and Ammo.  Les is quite a character.

He's a local shop in my area.

I should have a picture in a day or so of the improvements I have made to my G20c.  I'll post them up.  Suffice to say, it's got a lot more stability now than it used to thanks to the boom in AR pistol braces.

Gotta love the best millimeter.

The brace attaches to my bicep, just above the elbow.  Provides a stable, almost rifle like, hold and cheek rest.  Doesn't touch the shoulder in this position.  If I decide to I think it will also work comfortably when shouldered.  Total cost of all the attachments was about $100.  Could have saved $20 by not having the folding mechanism.

I have a Glock 40 with a 6.6 inch threaded barrel.  I don't have a chronograph, so I don't know what the extra length does to the FPS.

I did not make the statement about the velocity very clear.  The 1650 fps is for a 125 grainer out of the 5"  9X25 barrel and not the 10mm.

I have always been a Wilson Combat guy. After watching this video, I can understand the loyalty to this fine product.

Les Baer is a very tough guy to work for.  He goes through lots of Gunsmiths.  I am told when he gets mad at an employee it is a real scene, everyone gets chewed out.

He used to test fire every gun himself, I doubt that he has time now.  Like he said in the video, every gun is fired about 150 times before it leaves his shop.  I have heard horror stories how he handles Customer complaints on the phone.

Muscle Cars is his other passion.  Watch this:
