One additional question. Why would Karl Rohrbaugh in his email classify the R9 as a "locked breach blowback design"?

I believe that is Eric's email and I don't know.

Maybe part of the confusion here is that a locked breech can incorporate a delayed blow back but a straight blowback can never be a locked breech. Here is some more discussion on this subject.
