WTS: -- ELITES -- UPDATED
« on: February 06, 2011, 05:11:20 PM »
I would like to apologize to the forum for not replying with haste concerning the sale of the three ELITES. We suffered the loss of a loved one and it has been difficult to be near the computer. I AM NOT FROM READING, PA and I have only one screen name. I have never sold on gunbroker or any other site. I purchased these ELITES as investment pieces. My listing is legit and there is no funny business going on. I can provide phone number and more pics to serious buyers if necessary.
** Serious buyers please PM **

Three for sale- Will divide- Never fired- blank warranty cards- still the way they were shipped to me-new in box with all the standard included items. These pieces are exquisite works of art and ingenuity.

** PRICE $2500 each **

Good luck with the sale.
If these sell, it will be a heck of a ROI

Yes, the guy from Reading, PA on gunbroker has been trying over a year to sell at this range.

Why cover serial numbers with the tags on all 3?

Supply and demand but they are only worth the sold price, not the sales price. There is a lot of info on this forum that describes their refinements compared to a stock R9. To my knowledge they shoot the same as one off the shelf but P.T. Barnum said it best..........

The differance is (According to Maria) mostly cosmetic. (Polished sides) The original retail price on these was $1295. Or, $100 more than the Stealth model.

Not really.   Not setting the woods on fire in sales.    ;D

Yup, one can ask anything they wish. The guy from Reading PA has been on Gunbroker for a VERY long time asking this kind of money for his.  Still for sale and probably been 1 or 2 years.  Might be cheaper to send you stealth off to have the Sides polished though.

The guy from Reading, PA is asking $2900- Big difference in price. Also, I believe the difference between the ELITE and R9S is more than cosmetic. As far as polishing the slide on a regular stealth... That won't make it an ELITE. I guess for that matter you could paint the bezel on a Rolex to look green like a limited edition.

It is my understanding that the trigger on an Elite is somewhat more precise, and "machined" differently. Anyone with any additional knowledge? ???

Here it the production info: "The R9 STEALTH Elite has a Diamond Black DLC® coated slide with the sides sanded by hand to reveal the stainless silver color. The trigger and magazine release are glass-beaded to produce a satin look. The extractor is also hand-sanded like the sides of the slide, to further enhance the look of the gun."
