The brown VZs look really sharp on that all silver R9. I wish someone made real wood grips for the R9 still. The black wooden grips similar to those found on Sig Equinox models would look really nice on the Stealth and Elite R9s.
Currently looking for Elite Premium RP 1 of 16. Please PM

There is at least one member with a set of wood grips from a recently purchased Farmie.

Accurate Plating & Weaponry (Bob Cogan's Company) does excellent work!

That is the problem , it is a "pretty" gun. But it's usefullness has been compromised greatly. By compensating any pistol you eliminate the ability to safely fire it close in let alone doing it to such a small pistol. I don't know if I would even want to fire it at any length from my body. Would be fun to stand back and watch someone else fire it. Nighthawk admits the same about their compensated T3. And that is much bigger than a Pup. Also one would have to be concerned with the flash as most incidents happen in low light. (Criminals hate light) But for $2000 this gun is pretty much a show and tell/Safe queen. It is definately not suited to be a "Carry" weapon anymore. And being such a small weapon it will never be a match pistol, so that eliminates carry and range.  Nice to look at though.

Well , it has been over a week and still no bids. Seems no one else thinks much of it's usefullness either.

The porting is the only thing I don't like about it. Everything else is on my list of things to do, especially the checkering. I have a hard time holding on when it gets hot and my hands start sweating. And in Florida, that's about 90% of the year.

I dont think it is the options (porting) that are keeping this from selling as much as the price.

I have owned two Cogan R9s that were ported. Both were great to shoot! :)

I think you're right. You could buy a brand new R9 and send it in to APW for less than $2k.

The front and back strap checkering help out tremendously!
Add a set of checkered VZ grips and you are sure to get a good grip on the PUP sweat or no sweat.

That's what I'm hoping! As soon as it gets a little cooler around here and I don't pocket carry as much I was planning on sending it off for checkering.
