I really was lucky- After looking at a lot of pocket guns and being discouraged by what was available I found a new R9s at a gun store here in town. It was love at first sight! After I brought "Baby" home I got on the "net" to see what kind of a gun I had purchased. I found this site and began to try to learn as much as I could. You all are a university! I even learned about RJ and I have ordered one of his Highcut Merlins and a take down tool too. Any way, I just felt so guilty about learning all the "good" stuff that I just had to join your "happy band." So thanks for all of your help.
Other than a little NAA Mini Mag, this in my first pocket gun. I belong to a 1911 forum and have carried a Kimber Ultra Carry for a number of years. A great gun! But summers have a way of coming around every year and I have really wanted a R9 without knowing such a thing of beauty and delight was available. So thanks again for all your "enlightenment." :)

Les,
Welcome. I did the same as you. I read the whole forum before I posted. I found just about all of my questions answered by reading what was already posted. Tons of great information.
Best wishes with your Pup!
Respectfully,
Jim

Les - welcome to the forum :)
Glad you have found some info of use and in case you didn't see it yet - visit the link in my sig line. Just some odds and ends accumulated over time as we have all been together on this board.
I haven't updated it a whole lot recently but what is there might help ''round out'' new folk's perceptions etc.

"Just some odds and ends" . . . ? Hardly! Chris is altogether too modest. His FAQ site is actually one of the most comprehensive, objective, and instructive collections of data on a new firearm ever compiled and offered to the public.
Further, deponent sayeth not. :D

Richard old friend - you once more embarrass me with abject flattery :)
But thank you Sir!

What Richard said - bigtime.
Les - welcome from someone else relatively new to the forum and owning a R9!
