Title: Serbu Super-Shorty
Post by: tracker on December 18, 2010, 09:02:12 PM

If you're thinking concealed 12 gauge this may be close.

I've looked at those and think they are pretty neat, but with only two shots you could use an old side by side or OU for a lot less cash.

This one holds 4 and has a 10" barrel.

Here is a side by side and an OU. These two are over $1000 ea.

The vertical forearm would be quite handy on one of these beasts but they're all somewhat impractical compared to a basic pump.

I agree, and you can get a pretty nice setup that is not an AOW classified weapon for a thousand dollars.

The AOW is definitely a problem to own; unless you don't mind the waiting.

I'd rather have a Tromix in a backpack as a Katrina gun if you actually had to fight with it.  Plenty short folded but unfolded you have a gun that can be used other than for drive by's.
Essentially a 12 gauge Krinkov.
10 shots per mag with buckshot or slugs, very deadly.

I could make that Merkel into a nice SBS for you with a hacksaw and a file. ;D

That limbsaver recoil pad would be required minimum equipment for the Tromix beast.

Too low to the ground; of course, it probably has levelers, to select the height you want!    ;)

Not a chance.  Where's the tube capacity? Where's the laser sight? Where's the tac light? Where's the side saddle? Where's the folding stock? Where's the tactical sling?  8)

This thing outguns them both ;D
Now thats a serious home defense shotgun.

The Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) (originally designed and known as the Atchisson Assault Shotgun) is a shotgun developed in 1972 by Maxwell Atchisson. The current 2005 version has been developed over 18 years since the patent was sold to Military Police Systems, Inc. The original design was the basis of several later weapons, including the USAS-12 combat shotgun. The weapon is selective fire, operating as a semi-automatic, or in fully automatic mode at 300 rounds per minute. It is fed from either an 8-shell box magazine, or a 20 or 32-shell drum magazine.

Write this down. I'm guilty of careless oversight and misread your post, thinking you were referring to the Serbu. With the Tromix, let's make it 75 yards and at midnight. Meanwhile I'll be adding a night scope to the 1300. ;)

John.  This AA12 is something else.  We probably never will see this one.  Just for the military.

Does anyone remember the Striker Street Sweeper from South Africa that could be bought at any gun show in the '90s across the table? Now, it is a Class III weapon with "no sporting purpose."

This is conjuring up images of spoiled rich Saudi kids in gangs doing drive by's out of their pimped out rolls's.

I think I'll stay with the 1300. I've got it tuned up, tricked out, and wound tight to the point that the thing seems to become a part of me when taken to hand. And with 3" mags, it becomes an awesome thing to fire.

Tactile feel es mas importante. This is the best I could do but it has seen limited use.

Richard.  Keep thinking that, and you'll be OK.  Just don't get into any gun fights where you're out gunned.
