Title: Bling Boomer
Post by: yankee2500 on November 25, 2011, 06:21:11 PM
I bought this S&W 629 before I went on vacation and sent it out to be polished, I think it turned out great.
I almost didn't want to shoot it but put ten rounds through it this afternoon, the nice thing is with the polished finish it just wipes clean with a soft cloth. ;D

What a great looking wheel gun! Are those factory grips? Quite a while back I had one just like that except mine was the model 29 in blue, and it sure as hell was'nt that pretty. Congrats John...    Gene

Looks like a "barbeque gun" to me!  Beautiful piece anyone would be proud to carry.

Gene yes they are the factory grips but this was a Talo limited edition gun, they don't look as red when looking at them in person.

That is a beautiful "Bling Boomer," John!

I'll see your bling .44 Mag. with a bling high-low split -- .50 AE and .22 Short.   8)

Thank you very much.  I have a 686 that would look pretty nice with a facelift and some new grips.

Richard, I didn't want you to have to go it alone anymore, us Army guys need to stick together. ;D

John :

It occurs to me that the grips on that S&W 629 of yours make those on my DE .50 look drab. I suddenly have a new project.

Now that you mention it I would have to agree, the grips are the weak point of the guns great looks. :o  Well Christmas is near and it never hurts to treat oneself to something they want & need. ;D
