Frame finish...durability?
« on: July 29, 2007, 11:04:33 PM »
My biggest worry with the R9s is that the finish on the aluminum frame will start to wear off. Has anyone had this issue? How durable is the finish? Shiuld I expect it to wear off from being carried in a holster? Until now I have bought my carry guns exclusively in stainless.

I have the regular model and a Stealth and have carried both in a ankle holster and tucked in my belt with no holster and I have sweat all over both of them and I still can't see any frame finish wear at all.  I have heard of one or two problems with the Stealth slide finish but have not heard of any problems with any frame finishes.
