Serial is 6252, not 6262.

Has Eric stated the exact last serial number?

The "Last Rohrbaugh" is ECR's R6336.  There are frames with higher serial numbers than the last gun made.  I think the numbers are out of order because some numbered frames were sent out for coating.  While they were being coated, other higher numbered frames were built.

Exactly correct Phil.

My R6336 is truly "The Last Rohrbaugh". . . . . I know that for a fact. . . . . . . I built it from the remaining "scraps" we had tucked away. No more R9s were made or assembled after that day. Ha haa . . . . . . Love that gun.

Ok we know what the last one made was, how about the highest serial number?

Is that number confirmed?

I think Remington has all records.  We should petition Remington to let a Rohrbaugh Archivist sift through the records and document some historical stuff.  Production stats, serial number ranges, etc. I'll volunteer if they want to ship a copy of the docs to me.

There is/was a guy on the S&W site, Chris I think, that has a ongoing record search of model 19's. He gets the serial numbers from G-Broker and also from site members. He lists finish types and if it has box and accessories.
