Fly, I have one of those auto parachute knives that I got issued when I was in. It's a flourescent orange and has a auto clip point and a "U" shaped hook for cutting away your parachute shroud lines.
Those Mad Dog knives are pretty nice as well as the old venerable Randall's. Emersons are neat, and the new HK's I like a lot. Just some stuff you may want to take a look at.
Gotta have a good knife! Never know when you might have to open an envelope or cut some string. At least, that's what I tell my wife...!

I'm actually in New Jersey right now, but I am catching the first flight out in the morning to return home to pack up the valuables (guns), move a couple of vehicles to higher ground, then loading up the airplane and heading in whatever direction the storm path isn't...

I'll not be riding this one out at the house!

Good luck and stay safe. Great idea about flying out. I hate to say this, but you can always get more gear. Been through a few hurricanes myself and it's nothing to play with. When you get your gear, don't forget that cool purple Ti hammerless, or your R-9.
