Another Boring Range Report ...
« on: October 02, 2009, 09:30:29 PM »
I finally now have my first brand new R9s - manufactured in August of this year.  Previously, I tried one that obviously had been abused and faltered - back in 2006.

So, with a great deal of eagerness - and some trepidation after poor performance with CB HP ammunition - I again ventured out to the range.  This time I tried to get the pistol to jam / malfunction with a variety of loads (115-147 gr fmj  & HP) other than the previously tried CB.

The result ... at a department range, I might add ... was that the R9s functioned flawlessly through a variety of positions and with several different people shooting the little gem.

I am a VERY happy camper; it fits perfectly in the front pocket of my ballistic vest.  I must express a great deal of gratitude to my loving wife as she encouraged the purchase of this new one (perhaps my gift to her of a Seecamp to accompany her CCW helped, but that was never my intention).

As an older fart, I am really excited to see a company produce a Rolex of pistols ... this R9s stealth is on a level above my WC for uniform duty or the LB for plain clothes.

Thank you 10-42W & Mr. Rohrbaugh!

Excellent results.  Thanks for the report.  Not boring at all.
