Hi Everyone,

I am another new member.  I found this forum while doing my homework on Rohrbaugh's.  I just recently purchased a Seecamp from Tom Watson, The Irish Guard, and the transaction went smoothly.  I am going to pick it up next week.  With the ease of this transaction, I don't think it will be long  before I order an R9s from Tom.

Cheers!

I have just joined the Forum and this is my first post as requested.

I will be getting my carry permit in about 2 weeks and have been researching every possible CCW.  I have a PPK/S .380 (Interarms) that I bought new about 35 years go and it has never been fired. I bought some Buffalo Bore +P ammo and was going to make that my primary CCW.  Then I discovered the Kahr PM9 and that was going to be my primary CCW. THEN I DISCOVERED THE Rohrbaugh R9.

I read everything I could about the R9.  (Including this Forum.)  It is a leap of faith to by a $1,200 pistol when I've never firied one of even seen one in real life for that matter.  But everything I have read has convinced me this is the perfect carry pistol.  I determined my priorities as follows:

1.  Comfort and concealment - this is a piece of metal I will carry with me 24/7 for the next 30+ years.  It's small and light.

2.  Reliability - The odds are I will never have to use it, but if I do, my life could depend on this pistol working perfectly within 2 seconds of when I put my hand on it.  Cost is not an issue.  This is a life saving instrument I will have for many years.

3.  Stopping power - I want to know it will perform it's life saving mission with 1 pull of the trigger.

I believe R9 Stealth is exactly what I have been looking for.
