Good News Regarding the CMP
« on: April 08, 2017, 10:05:41 AM »
The Firearms Blog is reporting that they have been given the OK to receive 86,000 M1 rifles from the Philippians.

While these will not be available anytime soon, I am glad to see them replenish their diminished stock.  Their supplies have gotten low and getting this classic fighting rifle is getting more difficult for a reasonable price.

If you don't know about this program, do some research.  You have time to get everything in order before these rifles start getting out to the public.

IMHO, no arms collection should be without at least one.

Great news. I think it was 'Honest Bill Clinton' who banned all reimport of former military weapons. Then again his hobby's date rape, not shooting.

The good news is these rifles are actually owned by the US, unlike the Korean ones that got so much press a few years back.

This means the import bans don't apply as they are US property.  Don't think we will see these rifles anytime soon due to the process the CMP uses to get them right for their customers.
