WTS: R9S (Silver) one of two made
« on: November 05, 2015, 07:51:28 AM »
I am selling my R9S (Silver Frame) for $1500.00.  This is one of two made, when it was manufactured.
It is my understanding that Rohrbaugh may have made as many as six (silver frame R9S) in all.

Gun is now sold to a member of the Forum.

Part of me wonders if these guns were a prototype of the Tribute models? Hopefully ECR will weigh in :)

Left over frames from unsold Tributes?

Based on the factory letter provided it seems like this was pre-tribute and they were starting to experiment with clear coat.

Ryan, you are right as usual.  I did not look at the date on the letter.

I thought that the number 5803 would have been later in production than
August 2011.

Beautiful. The silver looks awesome.

Those look like they could be Brian's handy work on the grip panels????

Nice purchase on a rare cosmetic R9 pistol. Not many of those at all. Nice to see them doing well. I loved changing the cosmetics on them. . . . each one was slightly different in character. . . . . and I liked that. That aspect made building them less boring to do and we knew and understood the long term implications of making each one it's own. Collectors love that! Enjoy your new gem.
