They are great lightweight plinkers/hunting guns!!

Yours loads in the stock?

I grew up with one in the household (Brother,always let me use it) and loved it.. ;D

Brown stock is the most common,there are green,black&chrome too..

I try to buy one whenever I see them,not too often in my area though,and they normally are a bit on the expensive side..

I have only had experience with the tube feds,not the magazine models,or bolt actions..

I have been looking for a bolt for the kids!! ;)

That is indeed a fine little rifle -- all the more so because it was handed down to you by your father. Here is a link to some data on the Remington .22 Nylon 66:

I would give nearly every gun in my safe to recover my father's .22 rifle, a Winchester Model 1906 pump. It "disappared" from storage while I was on overseas assignment.
