Chris,  I have never noticed the drag marks on cases that went through my G32, ... either in .357 or .40.  That's why I was surprised and concerned about those marks fired from my R9.

It did not affect the function the gun at all. Like I said over 200 rounds now, and the only glitch I believe was my fault for not seating the round far enough back in the mag.

I fired a lot of loose ammo. that I had given to me from various source's, and I did notice what looked like maybe a " Winchester Golden Sabre" that had a exceptionally hard primer, there was barely a indent, and I would be reluctant to fire that ammo. again .... just would not feel confident in it going off.  I know I'd always have a second " hit" but I think I'll stick to the " Hydro-Shock 147s " .

Some good news,  I went into the barn yesterday and found the dye penetrant for testing the mags, ... but could not fine any developer, so as soon as I can get to a supply house I will purchase some, do the testing and will post the results.

Excellent night picture, Fred.  Your timing is just right!

I've been thinking about trying some 147 gr. rounds next time.  People on other forums have mentioned that they are more gentle  to shoot.  I presume they meant less recoil.

Bill

Thanks Bill,

Timing is everything in life,....... isn't it ¿

Another pic,... of actual,... or is it perceived recoil.   ::)

RJ - it is one of many symbols in the ASCII list.  If you hit alt+ 0191 - it should give - ¿

alt+0169 will give - ©

You can find a list of these probably by doing a search for ASCII characters.

Oh great........now it's named after me. :P
If it were up to me I'd fill in the darned thing, but then the geese would have to find a new pond....and they've become quite fond of the "pond". ;D

John!

The " Loch Ness Monster" could reside in that pond and be happy!!!  ;D

And thank you for all that you did to facilitate our getting our R9 pistols,...  I know you must have been " bugged" to death as we where anxiously awaiting the delivery.   :)

John,

I also appreciate the way you got the pistols for us.

Great job!

I remember sending you two checks, and both times received a receipt in the mail immediately.

Thanks again.

Ya just have to remember to drive around it.
