No way.   :)

You can't even tell where the sand ends, and the water starts.

Tom, I'm still checking your web site.

Tom, nothing is more important than our health.  I hope you will be well.

Someday, I need to ask you about getting a Seecamp pistol.

Bill, What caliber Seecamp?  the .32's are pretty quick. The .380's are ? I don't know, however, I have some on order.

Tom, I was thinking about the .32.

However, there is one major problem.  I would have to talk my wife into getting it.  Right now, she is negative and somewhat anti-gun in her views.

If I can pull it off, I'll contact you immediately.

I never thought of the waves being a good white noise for ringing ears - I like it.   Have the same problem from shooting 22s when I was a kid and being around machinary.  I usually don't think about it - it is just there in the background.  If you thought about it too much it would get t you.  Now I use ear protection for everything - if I had only done that the first 20 years of my life.

Tom - don't worry about the website  - you have enough on your plate.  Hey - did you get my R9?  Remember my name is on one of those LWS .380s.

Dave,  there was a time when nobody thought about ear protection.  Too bad.

Now I use the foam plugs, and then put ear muffs over that.

Yes, it's best not to dwell on the ringing sound.  I really forget about it around the roar of the waves.

They are saying that the use of these ipod type mp3 players are already causing hearing damage that will surface for today's kids in the future.

Chris,

Here is a picture showing part of the frame being raised, after it was assembled on the ground.  There will be three floors upon completion.

We had planned on having a bridge across the family room, so you could walk out there to an island, and relax and read.  It just got to be too much.

We finally added a second loft up high, which is a large room, third floor.

Looks great Bill!  Is that a TV antenna - one of the tallest I've seen.

Yes, we are pretty far away from stations.

Now everybody has satellite coverage.

Wow,, I'm jealous. Love those post and beam structures. I see you are from Michigan. Is the home from that outfit in Blissfield? I've still got another few years (10+) until retirement, we'd loke to build one ourselves someday.

Dave, I got you covered on both counts.
The R9 will ship next Monday or Tuesday.
One of the .380's has your name on it.

Hi JP,

Welcome to the forum!

No, the beams were not from Michigan.  They came from somewhere in Vermont.

We did get the SIPs  (Structural Insulated Panels) from Insulspan, which I think is in Blissfield.

The windows were cut out of the SIPs at the factory, and we had the drywall nailed on the SIPs in the shop.  Once you erect the frame, the SIPs are nailed on, and you have your walls!

I hope you decide on this type of construction.  You will like it!
Radiant floor heat is terrific!

Since the house cannot breath, you need an air circulation system.  We have a whole house heat exchange system which replaces the air periodically.
