Of "Pups" with Pedigrees and Papers
« on: August 27, 2007, 01:04:51 PM »
I've been reading with more than a little envy all of these recent posts about the new "Pups" with pedigrees and papers. Then it occurred to me that, given its serial number of "132" with no "R" prefix, my own hard-working little "Pup" has a pretty good "pedigree" (as in "pioneer") of its own. And about five minutes ago it occurred to me to pull "No. 132" out of my pocket, place it on some appropriate "paper," and take its photograph in the middle of a working day.

So here it is, a "Pup" which has been on duty since May 2004 and works every day, its pedigree long since earned and shown here appropriately papered.   ;)

Good on you, Richard; I would like to call that "lineage", also.
I own no. 127 and am equally proud. It is easier to buy papers
and pedigrees than it is to purchase lineage.

Since your Navy "Pup" holds date of rank over my Army "Pup," I'll continue to show proper military deference -- except once a year during the week leading up to the annual Army/Navy game.   ;)

That is a deal, Richard. This may be "next year" for the
Black Knights.

Newt:

Yes, "Old No. 132" came with the Blue CFs. They're in my gun safe together with a pair of G10s. For reasons I am hard pressed to explain, I just seem to prefer the look of the Black CFs.

I'll hope for the "best" but prepare for the "worst."  (I'm still recovering from last year's game.)  :-/

Richard, I too have the Blue CFs in the safe. I like the look of the Black CFs a little better, but I would never part with the Blue. When the  mood srikes me I will switch them back. Dan
