My Rohrbaugh Finally Works Like it Should...

Well after some issues with the first 200 rounds, my Rohrbaugh fired 50 flawless rounds today at the range.  I had many failure to feed and extraction issues with WWB 115 gr and Gold Dot 124 and 147 grain.  I sent the little guy back to headquarters to be checked out.  They said they really didn't find any issues, except they recommended that I stop using grease on the rails and only use 115 grain ammo.  They couldn't duplicate any of the problems I was having as they never used 124 gr and 147 gr ammo.  They also replaced the trigger bar for some reason I am unsure of.  I took there advice and had no issues with WWB or 115gr Gold Dots or Hornady FTX.  I am still not sure I can trust the pup just yet, but it is definitely a great start! ;D

crffish.  Glad to hear of the 50 flawless rds and sorry you had those problems.  Enjoy it now and hopefully trust will come.  A great start, it is.    :)

Good to hear that the pup is running well now..

Personally I run the 115s exclusively,and they run like silk thru my Pup... 8)

I have a very similar situation with mine.  I retunred it for lite primer hits after about 125 rounds.  Just got it back and my first range report after warranty service was perfect for 53 rounds.  I too need a few more solid range outings to get that total confidence feeling.

We have isolated some ammo problems but there appears to be some endemic light strike issues with the pistol popping up now and then.

They recommend not using grease on the rails? Hmm... I've been using grease for quite awhile with no issues, but maybe it's time to change it up and go with oil.

Yep.  Best to use what's recommended; lubrication and ammo.    :)

Grease(Superlube)was the recommended lube at the start of the pup!!

I am going to assume there are many still being lubed with that as very few of "us" pup owners are on the net!!
