Title: My new and improved G-26
Post by: yankee2500 on April 11, 2016, 09:54:53 PM
Had a little work done on my G-26 slide and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Frame is stippled and has extended slide lock and release lever and extended mag release and stainless steel pins.
Slide was machined and Hard Chrome plated, Trijicon HD night sights, Tungsten guide rod with 18lb spring, Lone Wolf barrel is ported (2 ports on each side)
I've got about 150 flawless rounds through it and it shoots great.

Beautiful piece.  Does the porting make the muzzle flash worse at night?

I don't have anyplace to shoot at night anymore but everything I've read about shooting ported guns indicates it's a non factor for the shooter. I don't notice it at all under lighted conditions as the shooter but watching someone else shoot you can see a small amount of discharge from the porting.
The porting really cuts down the muzzle rise.

Great CCW platform. Looks like a great piece!
