Can't post photos

I have tried to set up a link from "Fototime", to send an image. I have treid a couple different ways of sending the link, or a photo.
Just was wondering why I can't get a photo to post.

Are you using the [(img] place image address here [/img)] method?  
Without the ()

Oh, that little pocket knife, yeah, its a cheap one that I picked up for little tasks.It fits in my pocket nice and all, I don't need a pocket clip for it.
