Well, back to the small one; seems like you're on the right track.    :)

I would love to buy the larger safe, the issue is it's physical size and the physical size of my 100 Year old house's door frames. Once you get past the main rooms (Living room, Dining Room , Sitting room, the door way go down to 28" which was standard back then. Woife does not want a safe in her Living room, dining room, or sitting room. (Go Figure, but I learned along time ago that the inside of the house belongs to her, I am but a mere servant that does what he is told and is allowed to paint, fix, modify it on her approval of course  ;D )

Find a way for it to be her idea to modify the door ways to a larger size.    ;D

I have had occasion over the years to remove the window sash from large windows to move an item in or out that wouldn't go through the door.
With the weight of a safe it would require a skilled moving team if such a window were available. ;D

You could cut a big square in the roof and lower the safe in with a crane, and then put in a sky light; nice.    ;D

Chief:

Any wife who approves of carrying a 1911 in "Condition 1" has to be treasured. (So does mine.)   8)
