Title: Rare H&K on Gunbroker
Post by: MikeInTexas on February 08, 2018, 01:20:30 PM
If any of you guys are interested in semi-rare pistols, Gunbroker has a listing for an HK4.

Those are the very first pistols produced by H&K.  It comes as a complete 4 barrel set.

Wiki page to read up on it.

They are a neat set.  I bought one about 3 years ago and posted pics here.

That was an interesting read on the P7K3, one of those fall down the rabbit hole things.  That was posted about a year before I joined, glad to get a chance to read up on it.

How is that oil filled buffer?  Could not find a new replacement for one, hope all those guns that got imported are not paperweights now.

I always liked any H&K. I was offered a 7 round squeeze cocker, P7, recently but he was asking the moon. If it was the 13 shot, with a few mags, I would be all over it.

I do not remember the guy's name with the buffer.  If you would go to the HK Forum I am sure you could find out.

Here's a P7k3 buffer kit on GB

This thread is quite a coincidence.  My coworker asked me last week to find a 380 mag for a gun he inherited.  It was an HK4.  He got it with one mag in a zip up pistol case.  I need to tell him to ask his relative if there is a box of conversion kits in a drawer somewhere in her house.

That's the buffer and punch that comes with it, not the same guy.

I have not paid much attention, the gun came with a new one and I bought a spare.  The guy I bought the gun from said the one in it would last forever, do not buy a spare.

When there was not any bids last night on the HK4, I decided to watch it and maybe get a bargain.

It went for twice what I paid.

Wow, that escalated quickly.  Both them guys wanted that gun pretty bad.

I kinda felt it was a deal, but did not realize that it would end up going that high.

I watched that. I would be in for $2500-$2800 but not over 4K

The same guy that I bought mine from had a set on Guns Amereica about 6 or 8 months ago.  He had them at $2300 for about a month and then dropped them to $2100 for a couple of weeks and then they disappeared.  I do not know what they brought or if they sold.

Do you follow Barrett Jackson auctions? It's amazing the money some people have that you could never tell by looking at them.

I have known Roger Penske for over 20 years, from my years in racing. Here is a guy that has a net worth close to two BILLION dollars. Last May I saw him at the Speedway and he was wearing a Members Only jacket. I haven't seen one of those in 20 years.

I see where CDNN has a P7 M13 on G-broker. bidding is only $2700 with one day left BUT it was a former LEO gun and the left front of the frame was GROUND DOWN to bare metal to remove the LEO markings. Deal breaker. :-[

I USUALLY get the RIA sales catalogues. They cost a few bucks but are well worth it.

I rotate between my civilian model P7 and my R9 for daily carry. I paid $1200 for it a couple years ago. One of the best purchases ive ever made.

I saw that.  Personally I always like to sell stuff for twice what I originally expected to get :)
