Magazine Springs

I know the new magazine springs have been around for a while.  Can the springs be purchased separately, or do you have to buy the entire magazine?  If they can be purchased separately, could you provide me with a link, or do you have to call customer support?

I read something, a while back, about how some magazines didn't lift the front of the bullet properly (which resulted in FTF issues).  Was this entirely the fault of the magazine spring, or have the magazines been altered since then as well?

I ask because I notice the phenomenon in my magazines.  Hopefully this is fixed with $16 instead of $70.  :)
