Anything comparable to one? Either in 10MM, 357 Sig, or 45 ACP? I don't care for Kahrs, I'll try a G36 tomorrow -- anything else?

The Para Ordnance "Covert Black Slim Hawg" might be of interest. It weighs in at 24 ounces empty and holds 6+1 rounds of .45 ACP.

As for me, I've not only budgted but also authorized and appropriated funds for procurement of an R-45. 8)

There isn't much of a comparison between the Kimber and the Rohrbaugh. Plus the Kinber is a SA--useless for a carry gun IMO. The average person will either forget to cock the hammer or forget to release the safety in a split second life or death situation.

Well, A) the SA pistol bit has been beaten to death here -- B) you REALLY, REALLY shouldn't carry a 1911 w. the hammer down on a live round...
-
I wouold have thought that by now that improvements would have been made to the 1911 design so that it was safe to carry hammer down on a loaded chamber. Doesn't the grip safety take care of the problem?
Yes, the SA thing has been beaten to death but I just can't let it go. I am sorry, it is a personality flaw I have.

Enter the SFS system developed by Bill Laughridge of Cylinder & Slide -- for which, among other accomplishments, he was named Pistolsmith of the Year for 2005 by the American Pistolsmiths Guild.

the R45 will happen in the spring or summer of 2008. Just a short wait. ;) Tom

What about a Sig 220 Compact or 245? I prefer metal frame to polymer.
