I ordered a set yesterday. They should arrive early next week. I cannot wait. I post some picks when they come in.

They should look excellent.  You can then compare them to the Rohrbaugh CF's.

I don't like the vz cfs as much as the Rohrbaughs, too much of the pattern is machined off. :(

They have a different look to them then the original carbon fiber, it's just somthing different.

They'll be good to have, for sure!

It's different because they are machining a radius on the carbon fiber and going thru it, only leaving a small strip across the top and down the center.

I like the feel of the contoured grip in my hand better than the flat OEM grip.

Great that it does the job and you're satisfied.

I may put the blue carbon fiber grips up for sale from my ported R9.

I like the VZ carbon fiber grips better for carry.

I like the OEM blue carbon fiber grips for looks.

I think I'd rather go more practical for this carry piece.

That would be great.  The Blues will go quickly.  You probably already have emails.

Way to go.  You may have to go by time in choosing who to sell them to.

Not sure what you mean about that. My original grips have a pattern of sort, but it's very shallow and really doesn't add to the grippiness ('zat a word?) of the pistol.
The VZ's are obviously deeper cut and should give more of a grip.

I especially like the slight radius machined into them that doesn't appreciably add to the width, but does add to fit the hand better than the slab sided originals.

I just ordered a pair in Black Cherry. Real 'purty.

He was referring to the amount of surface on the OEM carbon fiber grips. The carbon fiber displays the pattern throughout the entire surface of the grip.

The VZ carbon fiber grips have a radius to them therefore the carbon fiber pattern is visible on the top and middle section of the grip panel.

Thats what I was saying, There machining through the CF and removing the pattern.

I'm sold, the grips are ordered.

Maybe Richard's fine photos of "added selling" will push someone off, who is/was sitting on  the fence like me.  :D

Hey all, first post here.  I have a Rohrbaugh 380 coming tomorrow, so I thought I'd join.  I have a question about the VZ carbon fiber grips.  How grippy are they?  It seem like they'd be a little on the slick side.

Thx

They are not slippery at all. They have a little texture to them.

Welcome to forum Big John, and congrats on your purchase!

As far as the grips:

To me just coon fingering them, they feel smooth, but not "slick" and not as smooth as the factory.  But when you grip down on them and fire, they grip Great!

They also have a bit of a palm swell which I believe helps also.

To me, the VZ Carbon Fibers are better than the OEM CF's and the OEM G-10's.

Cheers!

Guys, thanks for the welcome, I appreciate it.

Reinz, thanks for the reply.  I should have been more specific and asked about the CF compared to the stock grips.  You answered that nicely.  I'll have to wait until I have the pistol to get an impression of the stockers, but the palm swell sounds good.  I like that feature on my other small guns.

Thanks again.

Alright, all this grip talk going on made me pull the trigger and order a set of black checkered VZs for my Robar R9. Also put in with yankee for some of his button head screws.  Trying to do this right the first time.

chenyixiu,

Welcome to the forum.  I removed your commercial links in your signature block.  Those are not allowed.  Spammers are getting quite tricky and this is normally a warning sign of someone who is not here for the right reasons.

Hope you enjoy your 380.  Where did you purchase it from?
