Another Holster Option?
« on: January 28, 2010, 09:05:26 PM »
Hey guys-

Wondering how much demand there would be for us to make a RECLUSE holster for Rohrbaughs.

For those not familiar: http://www.recluseholster.com

While at the SHOT Show, a couple people asked us for a Rohrbaugh version.

As of right now, the only holsters we are shipping are for the Ruger LCP and KelTec P3AT, but there are a couple others about to be released.

It takes us a bit of time and money to develop each new holster, and if we can only break even, I think we can go ahead, as I want one for myself!

If we get a positive response, we'll make this available as soon as possible.  We've been very pleased with the feedback we have received.

Anybody interested?

A quick addition:  Great site here!  As soon as we have holsters available, we will become official site supporters.

Which is lighter?  The Kydex or the leather?

Looks interesting. For 50 bucks? Yeah, I'd probably pick one up.

Both Kydex and leather weigh just a few ounces.  The weight of the holster is almost negligible compared to the weight of the gun.

I'll have to weigh them individually and see what the actual weights are.  Nobody's asked that before.

Recluse:

First of all, welcome to the Forum!

That is an innovative design and a new take on the concept of a full-counterprint panel you have there. I would be interested in having one in leather for my R9. The square design would appear to be particularly adaptable for carry in the inner vest pocket of a suit coat.

No trigger guard, no interest here.

Recluse, looks good but I think I would need something covering the trigger. I'd be scared to put my hand in my pocket! Anyway good luck and welcome to the forum.   Gene

Recluse.  Same here.   No trigger guard is scary to me as well.  Wishing you the best, for sure.

Please take a closer look!!

The trigger can go nowhere, as it is completely surrounded by a block the exact shape of the trigger guard with an indent to hold the trigger from moving.

That's the whole idea of the Recluse.

The trigger block is why every holster must be specificly made to each handgun, and why one for an LCP will not work with a Rohrbaugh.

The trigger block will show up very distinctly if I post a picture of a Tan holster.  I'll do that when I jump on the other computer with all the pix.

I did see that before and I think that functionally you are correct; it is mainly in the perception.

It is very very hard to see the trigger block on the current pictures. Initially, I thought the same thing about your holsters not having a trigger guard.

Recluse, my apologies for not seeing what I was looking at.I think the problem is that my eyes are the same age as the rest of my body. Maybe I should have a trigger guard on my mouth too. Keep it from going off before I was ready!!         Anyway, I'll take one in black leather. Thanks, Gene

I'm definitely interested in this design and would be interested in buying one as soon as they are available.
