Title: Springfield Armory Announces their XDe

At the NRA Annual meeting which is going on in Atlanta right now, Springfield introduced their new XDe pistol.
 
Basically it looks like a hammer fired SA/DA XDs to me.
 
I really like my XDs 45 and I prefer striker fired pistols so kind of a yawner for me.

What do you guys think?

While I like, own, and carry many striker-fired pistols, my true love is the traditional DA/SA guns.  There is not much available in this size class.

This actually interests me a bit.

I guess I have gotten used to DAO and that is what works best for me.  I think that is why I prefer striker fired guns, no light hits and a good trigger.

The XDe can also be carried Cocked and Locked which would work for many.
