Can anyone estimate by serial number when this was produced? What do the extra letters mean? Did Rohrbaugh make any in .380?
 ???

I have 1 LISC BDE in 9mm.  I was told BDE are the initials of the prior owner of Long Island Shooting Center. His guns were seized by the Feds when he got into some trouble and sold at auction to a reseller.  The Feds only take the gun itself, which explains why it was sold with no mags, box, papers, etc.  Mine is all silver with polished trigger, hammer, etc just like a Robar, but E said it was made before Robar guns.

What was first, USA slide or Robars?  If the Robars were before the USA slides and mine was made before the Robars, then I have a newer slide on an older gun.

PhilZ:
Are these the only 2? Were any made in .380? Who was BDE?

I tried Googling LISC owner, but no name was in the news articles about the arrest.  There are a few forum members from that area that should know of him.  One forum member made him two custom Rohrbaughs.
