Pocket holsters with the push tab.

How do these work for you? I would think the extra motion to draw would just complicate things. Is it natural?

I find the push tab to be unnecessary.  I separate the gun from the holster by pushing it off with my middle and ring finger and/or hooking the trailing edge on the rear of the pocket on the draw.

I'm missing the first joint of my right ring finger, so I find the push-tab design to be helpful in a pocket holster. Using the thumb to push off the holster when drawing the pistol now seems natural to me. (One learns to adapt.  :-/)

I do the same as Duane,I have tried using the push off feature,and it is a bit awkward for me..

I should also say that a properly fit pocket holster (in my opinion) should not be very tight on the gun.  Sometimes they need to be broken in, or "upsized" a bit with the old cellophane trick.

My guns will easily fall out of my pocket holsters if turned at an angle.  There is just no need for a lot of tension for this particular type of holster.  The pocket provides the "retention" of the gun, not the holster.

Just came across this post.

I have had a pistol roll out of my pocket,  the holster remained in position.  If holster had the correct retention, requiring just a slight push off, using the thumb or forefingers, it wouldn't have happened.
