Rohrbaugh R9 (all variations) / A few rare ones!
« Last post by ccoorreeyy on Today at 10:57:14 AM »
Here is a group of special ones.  I know lots of Rohrbaugh guys love Seecamps also.

The Rohrbaughs are consecutive pre-R serial number 1st run guns and both have the "S" marked slides.  The blues are beautiful!

Seecamps are Restricted Edition in 25, 32 & 380.  The 25 & 32 have identical serial numbers (20 sets of identical serial # guns were made before the ATF stopped Larry from doing so).   The 380 is 1 of 3 Restricted Edition 380s that were made (from research I've done).

Hey Corey.... I'm not sure if I'm planning to sell or not but by dumb luck I acquired serial number 128 for a great deal. After reading about it I found that it's a very early model. There was a member of this forum that was the original owner...he basically pre-ordered the gun from what I have read. His name on the forum was "Musician" or something along those lines. I'm not sure if he's still a member or not...

Anyway, I've been trying to join this forum for a while and I thought it interesting that you made this post looking for my gun.

THANK YOU Habs14 for allowing me to get this!

I found a holster that I think works really well. This is a Kuziak leather "signature" holster made to fit the S&W Bodyguard 380.  It fits better than many holsters I have tried that are made for the gun.  It arrived slightly snug and I simply put the gun in a plastic bag and holstered it for about 2 days. Removed and it's pretty much perfect.

Has anyone else found a holster that they especially like for the R9 that is still available today?

Nice holster. Welcome aboard Habs!

Regards,

Eric R.

DeSantis Nemesis  or Superfly (pocket holsters) work for me.

Karl & I did that in the early days of manufacture. As time passed, and NYS started the CoBIS Program, we tested and collected brass casings for that program, personally wrote each collection pouch, and signed each one. We felt that was sufficient at the time. When boxing the firearm, I would sometimes initial each brown shipping box on the outside.

Nice to have you aboard!

Eric R.

Eric,

Unfortunately I'm a new Rohrbaugh owner and was only an admirerer of the R9 prior to about 4 months ago.

Did the guns always ship with a business card for Karl or yourself?  My gun came with Karl's card in the box and I'm just curious if that was normal.  If so, great customer service!

That is a very nice early unit there.

Karl & I have lived on Long Island our entire lives. The Island has become a tough place to live on at this point, both in our towns and within our neighborhoods. This deputizing is interesting, but I doubt much will come of it. We live in Suffolk County, so it holds no weight for us anyway. If, however, it was done right and used only when there were special emergencies, I'd have no problem with it. The firearm owners I know here are level-headed and would most likely do a good job within such a group of Deputies.

Recluse is worth the price of all 5, awesome holsters.
I’d buy, but am wrong handed.
