Title: Another First Range Trip
Post by: flyfishgreenwater on April 13, 2008, 12:35:03 AM
Here's another first range trip report.  I picked up an early R9 a couple of months ago as a backup and deep cover weapon for my law enforcement work.  I didn't have time to really take it to the range until yesterday.  I brought with me both the Gold Dot 115 and Federal 124 ammunition.  The R9 definitely preferred the Federal 124 by the groups that I got with it, although the R9 took both ammunition without a problem.  All I can say is "Wow, what a gun!"  Like a lot of people I thought the money I spent on it was really a lot (I know my wife thinks I'm still nuts), but after holding, looking and now shooting the R9, it is every penny well spent.  The Hedley holster also is a well made piece of equipment that compliments the R9 very well.  My hats off to the Rohrbaugh crew for an outstanding job.  I can vouch that I trust my life on my R9.

Thanks for the report, and welcome aboard. I feel the same about my R9s.
