OK OK- I reread my comments and questions regarding the EMP and much to my horror I noted I mispelled RESPECT-among other typo's and spelling error's- Is that why I got zero-no responses?- I'm sorry but I'm still interested in the forum's feedback-PS I've read few report's on line and they seem favorable let me know what you all {I am in the south}

It is nothing you said or did--I suspect it is us, or at least,
me, who don't have a clue about the EMP. I have mostly
erred on the side of acquistion when there was any doubt
about whether to buy or fly.

I'm a long-time advocate of the 1911 design, and I've been looking at the EMP ever since it was first announced.  However, given that it weighs in at 23 ounces compared to the R9's 12.8 in the same caliber and offers only 3 more rounds of magazine capacity than the R9 does, I've so far resisted the temptation to buy one. (I did succumb recently to a the lure of an HK P7, a "seduction" documented in the  nearby thread on those pistols.  8) )

The longer I own, carry, and shoot my R9, the more I'm convinced that it is quite literally the finest pocket pistol yet produced.

Thank's for the link-PS-I've had my R9S for about 4 months I've gone shooting approx the same # of times and intend to increase my profiency, that being said my R9S has not been away from my side and no further away than 2 feet {when I'm  sleeping}
But alas once bitten-well I love the 9mm round and my last pistol was a 1911 CPD Kimber in 45 cal which I found difficult to control-The EMP has gotten some excellent reviews-my thought also was that  the rohrbaugh was meant to be carried a lot and fired a little so to speak in any event thank's for the reply-I'll share my thought's on the EMP when it comes in- :D-I've put one on order

Welcome, Do yourself a favor and check out the P7 series of pistols if you love the 9mm. It's better to carry uncocked and locked than cocked and locked! H&K P7 PSP, P7M8, or P7M13 fast into action,very accurate,well made, and very safe. Just my .02!

What Newt said!  And as "Flyandscuba" has noted, a P7 on the belt and an R9 in the pocket make an excellent CCW combination.  (All of which gives me another chance to show off my newly acquired and refurbished "retiree" from the German state police of Lower Saxony.  8)  )

OK guys I am sure the P7 is a fine pistol but to my eyes the shape of the thing says "butt ugly".  I think I will stick with my PO1 and FN-HPDAC.  They shoot great and look great.

either. I am a p7 fan and a BHP lover, among others, but
the p7 is the best 9mm on the planet.

 8)  Not only do I love a well-aged single-malt Scotch but I also consider the BHP to be one of the best looking handgun designs ever created . . . which rumination makes me wonder again why I don't have a BHP in my collection. (Hmmmmm . . . . perhaps I should pour three fingers of Glenfiddich tonight and give that curious omission some serious thought.)

Oh . . . and Tracker, "THE GAME" is almost here again.   8)

Steaming into Baltimore's harbor, in honor of the game, will be the Naval Station Norfolk-based Ramage, a guided-missile destroyer; the Hurricane and Thunderbolt, coastal patrol ships from Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek; and HSV Swift, a high speed catamaran also based at Little Creek in Virginia Beach.

The Navy is doing its best to ensure victory Saturday but
they still call it the "Army Navy Game". I don't know if that
is just alphabetical or otherwise significant. Are the Rangers
planning a frontal assault with close air support?

Rangers, close air support by some Apaches from the Armored Cav, and a few of these beauties strategically positioned around Baltimore Harbor  8) :


I have it on good authority that our game plan is to gain and maintain contol of the ball, move it down the field, and put points on the board.  ;) )
