Robar strips off the Titan Kote to put on NP3?
« on: May 03, 2011, 08:47:04 PM »
1) Is the main difference between a R9 and R9s the Titan Kote on the Stealth?

2) One of Robar's options is "Complete NP3 Plus including all internal parts and one magazine."  If you get this option for an R9s - don't they have to strip off the Titan Kote C12?

3) Soooo....  if you know you are going to have your Rohrbaugh  NP3+ coated, doesn't it make more sense to order the R9 (no Titan Kote) ?

The S does not designate Stealth, it is for "Sights"

The standard Two Tone and the Stealth come in an "R9" & "R9s" version.

This is from the Rohrbaugh web site.
This handgun is available without (R9) or with (R9s) sights.

And yes it would make sense to order a Two Tone R9 or R9s as apposed to a Stealth R9 or R9s to have refinished.
ecause the Stealth has a higher selling price

If anyone is interested, here is the R9 Stealth model without sights and with the VZ grips:
