Title: Hello from NJ
Post by: mikejd on July 27, 2016, 08:51:41 AM
Hello all. Recently purchased my first R9 after many years of lusting.
Actually purchased it back in May but since I live in the communist state of NJ it took until last week to get all the paperwork in order since there was a state transfer etc.

Anyway, well worth the wait. I have handled them many times before but until it's yours you can't fully apreciate the craftsmanship.
Now I just need to get to the range.

Welcome aboard Michael. If you have any questions, simply ask away. Many of the members here on the forum are well versed on the pistol. I also chime in every so often, so feel free to send me a pm here if you like. Once again. . . . welcome.

Stay Safe.

Regards,

Eric C. Rohrbaugh

Thank you Eric appreciate it.

I have browsed around a bit. Seams like a wealth of knowledge. Looking forward to being part.

Mike, welcome to the forum.  Enjoy your pistol for there are none better.  Lubricate it well before your first range trip.  Do not limp-wrist it...it likes to be held firmly.  Keep the grip screws tight after each range trip, but never over tighten lest you strip the screw head when trying to get it out.  There is plenty of info on the forum as to the ammo it will most likely favor.  Shoot safely, shoot well and have fun!

Thank you john. Shes all lubed and ready to rock. Now I just need to free up some time for a range visit.
