Hi, I'm a new owner of an R9s and am new to this forum format, I don't know how to add pictures. Anyway, while I know SOB (small of back) holsters aren't for everyone, I have a Galco SOB for PPK/PPKS that works great with my R9s... Just like it was made for it! It's a little long on the muzzle, but works great!

Matt Del Fatti on the forum makes a unique holster meant to be worn behind the belt. You could also wear it outside the belt on the opposite side.  Worn behind the belt though it is very comfortable and helps to hide the printing of the R9.

I was lucky enough to pick up two of Matts holsters from a forum member who found the R9 was not the best choice for his needs.  Matt's holsters have outstanding quality and worth the wait.

Big D  - welcome to the forum and join in often.

Actually the middle picture above is worn small of the back since it is a left handed holster and I am right handed - but it works great small of the back for right hand use.  When I posted the picture uncropped in another thread some forum members warned me about a concern.

Seems that if you have a bad fall on your back with a gun holstered in the small of the back there is a danger of a spinal injury.  Something I never thought of before.  I now use it more off center.

Found a really good leather belt holster - right from Rohrbaugh!

The Mini-Scabbard Style 019 is made by DeSantis and is a really good fit.

thanks and welcome big d.  thanks to all for your continuing info and ideas.  just got back from the wilds of canada . . . well, edmonton anyway*, so haven't followed up on any of your posts.  i'm currently asking myself whether i need my r9s "big guy," or whether i can be satisfied with my seecamp.   the rohrbaugh looks and feels so much more substantial . . .

I have Hedley holsters for my Seecamps as well as my R9.
I have Del Fatti holsters for my Seecamp, and I have one on order for the R9.
I love these guys, and their holsters, but I also like the one paddle holster for the R9 that I bought from Dave Brown.

Below is the Paddle, and the pocket holster made out of Kydex, offered by David Brown.

Ron Graham makes a holster called the ACE. For me it is the most comfortable pocket gun belt holster made. Give it a peek.
