Happy Birthday to the Forum!

The inagural post to the forum was at 6:50pm on May 19, 2004 -- seven years ago today.

The times and the crowds have changed a bit since then, but this little experiment has done pretty well.

Except for an initial push to get the traffic going, I never promoted the forum too much--figuring that the right people would find us when they were ready.   We are the first "google" result for "rohrbaugh" after the official company website.

We now have over 1,600 members, with over 5,300 topics, and over 63,000 posts!  That is a lot of Rohrbaugh info.

Thanks to everyone who participates and contributes in whatever way to our little community.

Duane.  Your idea in bringing this Forum into being is definitely an accomplishment to be proud.  Those of us who participate certainly have learned much from the info reported daily from those in the know.

Thanks for your vision and although I know you don't need or want recognition, it is well deserved.  Again, many thanks!

Congratulations, Duane, to you and "Tech Guy" for creating and maintaining what I consider to be the finest and most civil gun forum on the Internet.

I joined the Forum on May 25th, 2004, at 8:15pm. The late R. J. Hedley, who was making a holster for the R9 I had just received after having ordered it sight unseen following the prototype's unveiling at SHOT 2002, sent me a link to the Forum with the advice, "You should join this group."

I did, I'm still here -- although our good friend R. J. is sadly gone -- and that R9 is still in my pocket.

Thank you for seven enjoyable years on the Forum during which I have made a number of new friends and learned much along the way.
