I did call on this one - of course at that price it is long sold but the dealer had left the listing up.

Typical GunsAmerica - out of dozens of attempts to purchase guns on that site I have only successfully bought one.
The sellers either don't get back to me or as you stated the gun was already sold for some time and the post never removed. I don't know if that is the fault of the seller of the administration, but either way I don't even bother going there anymore.

A while back I wrote to the administrator about the situations like you've mentioned, Reinz. I had tried to buy a revolver and there were communication/time issues that could have been permanently corrected for future transactions. The response I received was rude, self important, and arrogant. I interpret that as they don't want any suggestions on how to improve their customer service reputation and would really prefer I don't bother them further.
I accommodated them and cancelled all connections with GA.

Well it sounds like the fault does totally fall on the seller then.
That is too bad, that they have that attitude.
Yeah it is not worth the frustration of dealing folks selling vaporware.

I recently had the same issue with customer service at GA. I received responses which were both rude and insulting , which were unprovoked. I am however glad that I learned this prior to making a purchase in that had a real problem arose, the customer service agent would have not been receptive in resolving any issues. They went so far as to banning my ID, when I questioned there terse remarks.

Well maybe if we all stop visiting the site and buying from there they will get the message.

I will never buy anything from gunsamerica after reading this. I made sure to repeat the name of the site, so their google alerts notification will be sure to pick it up. From reading the responses from them, it would seem the site is run by a bunch of wise ass high school punks. You never know...
