Title: Springfield EMP..
Post by: Slick on October 26, 2008, 11:15:42 AM
Had to pick one up after how good it felt in my hand.....yet another CCW to evaluate.  So, now I'm still tossing up the R9s vs the Colt Pocket Nine for summer carry, and the EMP for everytime else.  Its a very nicely made gun.  Can't wait to try it out.....

I've only gotten one really good session in with the R9s, and while pleased with the reliability, I haven't fully committed to it yet.  There's something about the long trigger I'm not fully comfortable with yet.  Its very smooth, but for follow up shots with the recoil, I need to spend more time with it.

Same with the Colt, I've got 3 Pocket Nines, and my main one, has a noticeably nicer trigger pull the the NIB one, and my other one.

The EMP, will be compared side by with the other 2 next weekend.

I need to stock up on another 2-300rds first.

I've got 2 Pocket Nines and you need a come-a-long to pull the trigger them, stick with the R9, IMO. :-X

Of the 3 I have, one may have been worked on, because its noticeabley smoother than the other two.
