Hi!
I've been reading this forum for several months, but just registered today. I don't have an R9 YET. Saving my pennys.
Talked on the phone yesterday with Karl Rohrbaugh who is a very nice guy. He gave me permission to post his safety rules on my website:

Thanks for providing this great forum.

Marshall,
Welcome to the forum. It's good to see you visit here.
I have visited your web site several times, and have learned because of the experience. Your endorsement led me to purchase a P3AT
Thanks for sharing your views with other firearms enthusiasts.
It's good to see someone with your honorable occupation enjoying guns.

Thanks, Bill. I believe that of all people pastors and rabbi's should support 2nd amendment rights. Jesus commanded his disciples to arm themselves (Luke 22:36), and most of the heros of the Bible were men at arms (David, Samson, Abraham, etc).

I'll remember that the next time my wife gets after me about guns.
I will quickly insert that information into our discussion.

Marshall:
After having browsed through your web site, I reiterate my welcome to the Forum! I have bookmarked the site for further reference. You have provided an impressive resource for those of us who view the Second Amendment as essential for the preservation of our other liberties.

I like your site as well. I was amused to find the Phoenix Arms HP22 so well represneted on the site -- I never really considered it a mouse gun, just a plinker, but it was the first gun I owned (still do) and was and remains a fun, inexpensive toy. It was also a great gun to learn with, since with both barrels I was able to practice taking it apart and reconfiguring it several ways, which was great for a novice. I liked the "rat gun" section of the site, too. Thanks for the link.

Doug, yes that is interesting re the HP-22 - I got one way back - whole kit. I had a lotta fun with both barrels tho had to do a small ''repair'' on mag release, not wanting to mess around sending it back. It is a cheapie but IMO good value and I still enjoy it.
I keep long barrel on now most of time - better accuracy.
