I recently heard an individual make reference to the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi in support of an assertion that the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution should be repealed. There was something about that reference which seemed historically inappropriate, so I went back to the books -- and look what I found:
"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."

Just for the record . . . .

Its unbelieveable what some people will do to re-write history.

It's unbelievable that anyone would care what Ghandi said/thought -- among his "non-violent" methods, was having the locals refuse to co-operate with cholera controls -- condemned thousands of Indians to pointless deaths, predominantly children. He was a typical 3rd world $^%&, but he could write well I guess...

Yes, I just posted that as an example of the hypocrisy and/or ignorance of some of these "hot-house liberals" who would presume to preach to us on the subject of gun control with little or no regard for accuracy in their alleged facts or historical references.
Now if they wanted to cite a true advocate of gun control, they might consider the following:
"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjected people to carry arms; history shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subjected people to carry arms have prepared their own fall."
