Title: Interest In A GP On The ORB NS Lights
Post by: ROKTMAN on December 22, 2006, 06:48:21 PM
I just talked to Rob.If we want a  minimum run of 20 with the Rohrbaugh logo it would be the same price as the Seecamp lights.Roughly $106.00 shipped to the best of my calculating and currency conversion skills. :o

This is of course if Karl will give permission to let us use the logo for this.I have no idea if he would at this point.

Just seeing if this is worthwhile.

I would make it simple like all NS with blue tritium locator.

If not maybe we can just add on to the 10 Seecamp lights Rob is making in JAN.

Post up your interest please.Cut and paste to the list.

I'll order 2 units and put up deposit up front or whatever.  If Rohrbaugh unavailable as first choice, I'll take Seecamp second.

That makes four (4)

(I am assuming that this group purchase will be for ORBs with the Rohrbaugh logo -- in which event we will need to have Karl's permission on behalf of the corporation.)

You can just order a plain ole ORB NS.
The light is of good quality, I have handled a couple of them.

Myself and two friends backed away from doing business with Rob, as he fell real short on when our order was to be delivered. If he originally said we needed to wait seven months, I would have waited, but this constant new delivery dates just drove me away.
He did return the money immediatley.
Oh yeah, most got the Tritium color they ordered, some did not, and no one was warned that there was a change.

My advice is to just order a plain ORB NS and perhaps you will get it fairly fast.
I was never in a hurry for something so well made, its the excuses that bothered me.

Yep ,( See first post)Not sure at this point if Karl would give permission. At this rate we aren`t going to make the 20 anyway.Have to wait and see.

I saw that on the Seecamp forum.Makes me a little leary to do business with him at this point.

Hey guys , do you think it would help to repost a second notice at the front of the forum?  Like on one of the first two catagories?

This post is a little buried on "page12 section D".

I know the repost would not be "proper".  But I bet it would be appreciated.

I guess that's the marketer in me coming out.

ROKTMAN:

Let me also add my own thanks to you for your effort.  After the Forum's membership increases some more, perhaps there would have a better response.  I would be willing to help out on the "laboring oars."

Happy New Year!

Just received an Orb RAW NS. What a flashlight! I've never seen a flashlight so small that is so bright.

It took about two months to obtain one by ordering from their web site. But it is an outstanding piece of equipment.

If all went well with the ORB light, I would really liked to have one with a Seecamp logo and a Rohrbaugh logo.
It didn't work for me.
I would suggest the Fenix P1D Cree light. It is a good light.

TW, here is an image of the Orb light with the Seecamp logo on it. The light is very small and very powerfull, and its power comes from a rechargable battery.
