Hello Fellow Pocket Rocket packers . Its been about 6 weeks since my pup arrived in my hands . And I am amazed by some of the custom work that can be done to this little gem of a pistol . However , still photos here just do not do it for me . In terms of planning and ideas for future custom smith work I may desire . So , I would like to ask the crew here . To post video on You Tube of their R9 that they have customized . Maybe include custom leather exotic skin holsters too ? Or whatever you like . I have only seen a handful of R9s on YT and of those postings . None show any customized pups . You don't have to show your face or even speak a word . I would guess that one that has a current account can even make a new account to stay in the shadows . That way nobody has to know who you are . It could be a nice way to show case , with pride , your pup . And an added plug for the craftsmen that perform the tooling work on each R9 and make up some very nice holsters and parts for the R9 . Just an idea if anyone is willing . Thanks a ton for taking the time to read this post .

Great idea, but that's asking too much from me, I am lucky that I can just make a post! ;D

Hey! What's wrong with still pictures? :) As Relic says; "a picture is worth a thousand words." :) Course now, a video may be worth a couple thousand words. ;D

Well KJ , I think the video is important in a few ways . We as a collective group of like or near like minded gents and ladies . Have poured some serious research and dollars into your choice of self defense tools . With this in mind . Each custom pup and the custom leather that go along with it . Can be food to the starving mind of someone that is in search of custom smith ideas . Or that future pup owner that needs the nudge to take the plunge and buy an R9 . Or purchase holster goods or after market goods from a member here or a craftsmen we have good products from . I for one am always looking for new ideas on custom pup work and leather . While I know members have posted great pix here . Some of the add on stuff , like plating , just do not show up well in still shots . Plus , why not be a bit of a show off and show case your pup collection . Be it one or three .

A point for discussion...Last week, one of our local news broadcasts featured a segment on Youtube. It was mentioned that unless a certain feature was deleted on the cell phone taking the pictures/video, it was possible, even easy, to obtain the actual address or location of the owner of the cell phone, both at the time the pictures were taken and the residence or billing address for the phone. From what was reported, this is almost basic technology to anyone who knows computers. I don't recall whether it also included digital cameras...but that would not surprise me.
But, it brings up a point...Just how much more info do we want out there about ourselves?????
My answer would be "NONE."
And...I'd like to eliminate much of what info regarding me and my family is already out there (since it's mine and I should be able to have a say in who has access to it) and available to just about anyone with a keyboard and internet access.
Just my opinion and worth what was paid for it.

Hedrok , With the advent of the "SMART PHONE " . It is true that attached within the body of all digital cell phone photos is a gps location/ signature . Along with other info that could disclose sensitive info about the sender . I do not believe video downloaded to that site (youtube) can reveal that type of info if the video is shot with a standard NON gps enabled camcorder . This is way I still have a sony camcorder and keep my smart phone for taking photos for my own use and NEVER to post to ANY website . In fact photos sent from any smart phone to another or to an email address or website can disclose GPS signatures to the party on the other end once uploaded to a laptop with the right software .
I may be wrong about this tech info . But will stand corrected if I am . However I am more worried about the meth head digging in my trash for bank info then I am about anyone knowing where I dwell . So here goes . I stay in the gingerbead house on the Disney lot and I shack up with Snow White on the weekends . Ok I was only kidding about Snow White . But you do have a valid point my friend .
