Title: Safe dial light
Post by: Joe_from_NY on July 25, 2011, 09:15:31 PM
I was looking for a light to light up the dial on my safe so i can see the numbers better. i saw this one from Canon for $20, but it only had red light. http://www.cannonsafe.com/options-accessories/securitylight.html

I was looking to get one that i could still see in the daylight. I found a good solution, a $5 headband LED light from Harbor Freight.

It has a magnet on the back. You just throw away the strap, and let the magnet stick it to your safe door above the dial. It gives plenty of light, and the magnet works great.

Joe - that's great, and economical too!

Thanks for the find, Joe!  The magnet is the thing that seals the deal (on top of the "can't get hurt" pricing).

Joe,

That is pretty slick. This is a good idea and the cost is great!

 Thanks for the tip.
