Title: Santa Hedley

 Pre-Christmas rush....  
Mom coming to my house for Christmas holidays - have to get the guest room cleaned (again)....
 
Friday (12/22) check the mail and there's an unexpected package - from RJ Hedley! ;D
 
All thoughts of preparation for family and guests are gone as I rush back to the house opening the little box as I go....
 
WOW  :o  - RJ was right - I LOVE the burgandy pocket holsters he has made for my Seecamps and R9.  Perfect fit, comfortable and no print!
 
Thanks RJ - these pieces are equal to the quality of their inhabitants.  You're the true Santa!

Congratulations on those magnificent holsters -- not to mention their contents!

I've posted this photo before, but here is how a Hedley holster (this one a so-called "Back-Pocket" model in black) looks after six years of hard use -- including some accidental "dunkings" in mountain streams during my frequent pursuits of rainbow trout:

RJ's gunleather is nonething less than artwork.  I therefore use and recommend Renaissance Wax to protect it from the wear and tear of daily use.  Here are two on-line suppliers of the product:

Richard -

Thanks for the tip on the Renaissance Wax - I've seen that product mentioned on a knife forum before but have had no experience with it.

Based on the condition of your six-year-old Hedley model I would say it works well; I'll look ito it  ;)

RJ does do some beautiful work - I was initially a little worried about the color (brown vs. black) but then he agreed to produce the nice burgandy shown; to me that's the perfect gun leather  ::)

While most of my Hedley holsters are black, here is one in burgundy which he made for my Colt Mustang back in 1999 as I recall.  Although it hasn't seen as much hard use as some of the others, it has "earned its keep" and remains in pristine condition.

Happy New Year Guys,  Those are really sharp looking holsters!  Thanks for sharing them with us.  I never get tired looking at examples of fine leather craftsmanship such as this.
After looking at these, I'm racking my brain just trying to find an excuse/ need to order some of these.
Like many of you guys here, I have drawers full of leather that I don't use.  So I tend to be more cautious now.
