Title: Pachmayr SlipOn
Post by: BlueGrips on March 16, 2006, 06:33:44 PM
For grins and giggles, I installed the slipon and realized that this thing works great for the R9. I was astonished! It fits my hand and fingers like a fine glove  ;D, giving me a better control of the pistol. Additionally, the semi-soft rubber helps taming that sharp recoil and it doesn't seem to be sticky in my pocket. For the price, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try! Two thumbs up!    :)

Cheers!

The first time I took the pistol out shooting I experienced a lot of torqueing, so this past weekend when I tried 'er again I was using a Hogue Handall JR. on the grip and this made a World of difference on the accuracy and felt recoil!  I think this is a better solution than grip tape...at least it was for me!

I'm very uninclined to put anything sticky on this fine little machine....so early on I tried a Butler Creek (read Uncle Mike's)
grip and  imo it is perfect.  It fits almost too tight....but I believe one of the informed members of this group advised the application of a tiny amount of silicon to the leading edge will
assist in on and off.  Works for me and.....    Thank you for the
great tip.

Cuteo, did you have to cut it to fit as I did with my Hogue Handall, JR or did it fit right the first time?

I prefer the Uncle Mikes because it has not finger grooves. Otherwise it looks about the same.

Eric: It fits right in.

Richard: With the R9, I'm styling now! Thanks.

The Pachmayr thing was already discussed and recommended by other members before. Thanks again.

Great Idea!  I ordered one from the site posted by Jarcher - but one problem -  I ended up spending $172 on other stuff I probably didn't need.

Thanks

I did the Hogue grip. Have not tried it yet but like the positive feel I get now. Will try it this weekend.

Howdy - well my $172.00 order came in right before Christmas.  Everything was there EXCEPT for the Slip -On Girp.  Which is why I went to the website and ordered in the first place.  It was back ordered.
Just my dumb luck.
