I just installed the pocket slipper w/laser on my r9. I have one other for about five yrs on a keltec P3AT. I've always liked the ease of cocealment with the KT. Anybody else like these "slippers"?

It is something that is purely to an individuals taste, to me they look terrible on any pistol. Aside from that takes too long to acquire the dot.
On a carry gun / pocket pistol, becoming dependent on a laser creates the chance of one more thing to fail. My feeling is ones time would be better spent becoming proficient at point shooting. At the distance a weapon would be deployed at in an SD situation, with your adrenaline pumping, your hand shaking, and your mind in a semi panic mode, trying to put that little red or green dot on the BG could be a challenge.
The fastest shots in the world all point shoot, a laser can be a great tool in learning to point shoot , by showing you were your natural point
is and you can then make some adjustments in your grip, stance or whatever to point the gun and hit the target.
The lasers are a lot of fun shooting cans and punching paper, and great for when you have time to take your shot, but not for my carry guns.
Just my opinion.

I have had guide rod lasers and Laser grips on several pistols over the years, and now have none.

I like it primarily because of the way the pistol slips in the back of my Levis but prints like a wallet.
I agree that a laser, especially on a gun like the R9, doesn't make ot of sense; but the price was right and it is great for practicing as much as needed before live fire. Point and shoot practice becomes easy.
On a product review note, the material and assembly have improved from my Kel-Tec's purchased 5 yrs ago. The material is not the hard plastic from the past, but has a little give to it and molds well to the frame. The interior has been finished with more attention paid to the wrapping/taping of all internal parts/ wires.

I'd have to say to each his own. I don't have any guns with the laser, so if you like it, that's what counts.

I was seriously tempted by the pocket slipper when I first started carrying an R9... but what eventually tipped the scales the other way was the fact that the trigger guard isn't covered. Just made me too nervous, so I went with a good pocket holster instead.

This is the only downside-it doesn't help the pistols looks at all. Rather unpleasant to the eye when just looking at it compared to the one next to it w/ the lines of the gun unmolested.
BUT, I find it to be a great way for me to carry. I have my CWL, but here in Florida there is no open carry; and constantly flashing/printing is not a good idea. Just as I always slipped the old Kel-Tec in the pocket, now my R9 will take over. It will be carried 5-7 days a week. To me, having it with me ugly beats carrying it uncomfortably in my Hedley or Mika front pocket holsters or not carrying it at all because of any reason. You'll know I've made the final switch when I post my holsters up for sale.
