Title: Holster Shirt
Post by: hdfb910 on March 10, 2011, 03:07:45 PM
I don't post often but am usually lurking around.
Thought I would share:
I ordered one of these "holster shirts" and have been giving it a try.  So far seems like another great option for concealed carry with the Rohrbaugh, when pocket carry may not be best.  Order one size up for comfort, they do fit snug.  The pistol is not detectable at all.

I  have been testing one of these for CCM and agree that they work very well.  Its not necessarily the fastest mode of carry, but very discrete and very comfortable.

Pete.  This seems like it would work great for when one is an a vehicle, too.  I'm gonna give this a try!    :)

511 makes high-quality gear.  Pretty popular with the law enforcement guys.

Kramer Holsters sells or makes a similar kind of shirt and LEO's have been using it for some years for their back ups.  He also sells a female version.

I do not know how Kramer's are now, but I bought a few when they first came out about 15 years ago.

Very disappointing.

Very wimpy, and you had to sew it up yourself to "tighten it up" for more of a custom fit, or any fit at all.

So I never used it at all.

Hopefully they are better now.

Those 5.11's look like they are done right.

and BTW, I am a big Kramer fan, have some stuff over 20 yrs old still going strong.

I have never used one, period because the idea of carrying a concealed weapon in an in accessible place under an overshirt doesn't appeal to me very much.  But I do know that LEO's have been using them for a while.  I've only ever had one Kramer and it's OK.   Not a proponent or a detractor, merely pointing out they exist.   At the cost whether it's 5.11 or a Kramer they are a little pricey for an undershirt regardless.

I would have to agree 100%, slow to get to and very pricey for an undershirt.
