By the way...this gun reminds me very much of a Seecamp .32 on steroids...I know the Seecamp is fixed barrel, blowback,  etc., but is the trigger mechanism similar?? It feels very similar to me. Guess I'll take the grips off my Seecamp and the R9S and see.....

I think all the DAO pistols are patterned from the Seecamp, except the Para-Ordnance DAO.

Your post tightened me up a bit !!   :D

Welcome to the "Club" and the Forum.  The R9 and R9s are definitely masterpieces of design.  And I admit that I also have done some of that "caressing" which you describe.

The Seecamp is an old CZ design.

Thanks for info RJ.......I have been out of town this week, but plan on taking grips off Seecamp and R9S to comapre trigger systems.  Will post pic  for any interested. The triggers are VERY similar in feel though.

You are probably very familiar with your Seecamp's inner workings.  However, just in case you have not previously removed the grips, you may notice some slight outward pressure when you remove the left panel.  That will be from the drawbar spring, which is held in place by a small plate under the grip panel.  Take it slowly, or the spring and plate may be launched across the room.  (It happened to me the first time around, and I spent about ten minutes trying to find that little spring on the floor.)
