Here's a photo of my R9S (the smallest 9mm currently in production) ...

... next to my Para-Ordnance C6.45LDA (the smallest .45ACP currently in production).

Fudster ... I hope very much that Para carry performs better than my P12-45 .... this is irking me as it is just plain unreliable.  Great feel, great trigger, accurate .... but danged unreliable.  I intend to replace recoil spring and uprate mag springs - with Wolff .. supposedly this can help but the gun is essentially ''low mileage''.

How reliable is the C6? Oh, about one jam per mag which is an improvement from 2-3 jams per mag   ::) I'm not trying to be funny but I'm sadly serious.

Like you said, great concept but utterly unreliable. I've got a few Para's and they are all pretty much the same :'(  too bad cause they would have filled a nice nitch.

Teddy Jacobsen advised me not to get a Para. Why don't you email him and see if he can "fix" it. His websie link is...

Good luck.

Dick ...... thx for that link.  I emailed Teddy and got a quick reply.  I am gonna call him later as he has offered to give me some stuff to think on.  I think a rework of springs just might help this along.  Wish I had heard his advice before! :(

Thanks for the cool picture.  :)

As a side note; if anyone has any other R9 picture comparisons, please send a PM with a link.  I'm doing research and seriously considering buying one.

Thanks guys.

RTW
Teddy does not like Para's
BUT how knows how to make them work perfectly
I do not have a Para, but Teddy worked on all of my carry guns.  He knows just what to do.

Teddy's all time favorite gun is the HK P7 series
He is the reason I was looking for one.  I found one on this board.  Just received it form flyandscuba.

Teddy is a good friend of mine.  He is the best just a little grouchy form time to time

M_V_Dell,

I don't know teddy. But, he sure seems to know what he's doing. Hope you enjoy the P713 from our Florida bud.
